This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team located in India. We are seeking a passionate Principal Engineer to join the Fusion Data team within our Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. In this role, you will be part of scrum team and help us fulfill our mission to deliver the best software for our users' CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB needs in a single, integrated cloud software platform. You will use your software programming skills to implement the next generation of features and functionalities in our product and work with a world-class software engineering team.
ResponsibilitiesUse a product-focused mindset to lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions to complex problems. Review code written by others, provide feedback, and ensure the adoption of best practices to maintain high coding standards. Work closely with stakeholders, including Product Managers, Experience Designers, and Quality Assurance, and have experience working with distributed teams. Help the team address technical challenges, remove obstacles, make decisions on critical issues, predict risk, and devise mitigation strategies. Help to design and implement scalable, maintainable, robust, and performant software solutions. Promote a culture of trust, respect, and inclusion within your team. Willingness to learn and expand technical breadth and depth, developing T-shaped skills. Be flexible, proactive, and respond quickly to multiple priorities under changing conditions and in an Agile process environment.

Minimum QualificationsB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or a related field. 6-8 years of software development experience with C++. Familiarity and/or experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools and software. Experience with source code control systems such as GIT, GitHub. Knowledge of Agile software development practices such as SCRUM. Experience with Standard C++ libraries and commonly used containers and algorithms. Working experience with modern IDEs such as XCODE, Visual Studio, CLION, or similar. Modern C++ (14, 17, 20 +) specification, architecture frameworks, techniques, and patterns. Java-Springboot: Knowledge of developing robust backend (RESTful APIs) systems using Java and Spring Boot or using a scripting language framework. Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability. AI Understanding: Basic understanding of AI concepts and the ability to leverage these in developing smarter solutions. And awareness of tool cursor and co-pilot
The Ideal CandidatePractical experience programming in C++, having worked on several projects of some complexity with related and demonstrable skills, and with some real responsibility delivering working software. Knowledge of backend programming methodologies, tools, and techniques. Solid understanding of common design patterns, algorithms, build systems, and modern source control systems. Willing to take on challenges and stretch outside their comfort zone to grow.

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location.
