About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be playing a vital role in building and upgrading modern, robust, highly scalable, and secure services that help customers with payments and tax calculations. You will be working closely with various technology teams that consume these services and with business teams. Responsibilities . Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements . Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components . Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs . Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews . Resolve complex technical issues as necessary . Train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles . Keep abreast of new technology developments . Design and work with complex data models . Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques . All other duties as assigned Requirements .Demonstrate good experience as a Software Engineer and experience in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) .Experience with development languages including but not limited to: Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, REST, JSON/XML, API design and microservices architecture. .Experience in at least 2 of the following database technologies - PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle. .Be familiar with DevOps tools such as CI/CD and Cloud technologies. .Have a keen interest in current and future industry standards for security in a technology environment. .Be able to diagnose and resolve complex bug fixes. .Be customer-focused and attentive with good written and verbal communication skills in English.
