About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer...

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications, US:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Overall 8+ years IT industry experience with all phases of SDLC
• 8+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
• 6+ years of experience as a professional software engineer.
• 6+ years of experience in Java/J2EE or Python application development and implementation. Knowledge of Spring framework and developing micro services using Spring boot.
• Holds very strong technical knowledge in Java and Spark.
• Preferred knowledge and hands-on experience working with Hadoop Ecosystem and Big data technologies like Hive, Kafka, Hbase , NIFI and Data processing framework such as Spark.
• Hands-on experience with Data modeling, normalization, processing with Spark and SQL and Spark performance tuning knowledge.
• Excellent knowledge of OOPS concepts and Core Java and familiarity in using Java.
• Experience using version control tools like GIT, CI/CD process and build tools like Gradle and Maven.
• Strong knowledge of Database concepts and UNIX bash scripting.
• Advantage of having knowledge with JOB schedulers like Airflow and Autosys.
• Knowledge of developing cloud native applications and cloud deployment.
• Knowledge of docker images, containers, and container management framework like Kubernetes, including scheduling micro service deployment and creating services on kubernetes and handling ingres and egress.
• Good to have knowledge of Helm package manager and developing cloud native applications using Operator framework.
• Knowledge on GCP cloud would be added advantage

Job Expectations:

• 7+ total years with working with business partners to breakdown requirements, manage technology delivery, educate the business on technology options, lead enterprise level initiatives and ensure that expectations are set and delivered on time and budget.
• 7+ years as part of a continuous integration and delivery team
• Must be able to provide examples that they have the ability to multi-task and handle multiple technology initiatives at the same time.
• A detailed, logical thinker, problem solver & team player
• Experience working with onsite/offshore teams
