About Eurofins IT Solutions India
Eurofins IT Solutions India, EITSI is a fully owned subsidiary of Eurofins and functions as a Global Software Delivery Center exclusively catering to Eurofins Global IT business needs. The code we ship out of EITSI impacts the global network of Eurofins labs and services.
The primary focus at EITSI is to develop the next generation LIMS (Lab Information Management system), Customer portals, e-commerce solutions, ERP/CRM system, Mobile Apps & other B2B platforms for various Eurofins Laboratories worldwide.

TITLE: Software Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer
REPORTING TO: Senior Manager
WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore, India
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

• Development and Management of Web Services
• Design and implement robust and scalable web services using C# and .NET technologies
• Ensure the integrity and security of web services.
• Experience in the use of common procedures in web-based applications (asynchronous and synchronous communication, authentication methods: oAuth, OICD etc.)
• Collaborate with other developers and architects and BAs to create and implement technical specifications
• Legacy C# applications
• Maintenance of existing applications (Vivace, Hurtigruten)
• Development of a new satellite application for OSM

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in software development with C#
• Proven experience in creating and using multi tier applications and web services programmed in C#
• Knowledge of web technologies -

multi tier, service oriented architecture, REST APIs use and integrate technologies such as PSH, PASH, message Queues (eESB) * Read and understand service contracts

• Proven experience in creating and using web services in C#
• Deep understanding of .NET Framework and .NET Core
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with synchronous and asynchronous communication.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (oAuth, OIDC ...) etc.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with web application related communication protocols (web services in general, REST paradigma etc.), common authentication methods used in web applications (oAuth, OCID etc.).
• Strong working knowledge of Web application development using .NET, C#, Asp.net, MVC, WebAPI.
• Knowledge of modern software development methodologies and tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience in database programming, particularly with MS SQL Server.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure) is a plus.
• Experience with frontend development Angular JS (Java Script) is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of MSSQL - SQL, T-SQL etc.
• Experience with usage of TFS
• Familiar UI testing and Unit Testing (MS Test/ Jasmine/ MOQ/ NUnit/ Karma etc.)
• Should have worked in an AGILE practice methodology (preferably SCRUM)
• Working knowledge Authentication and Authorization [Plus OAuth2, OpenIDC etc.] (5+)

Skills:

• Development of web application technologies. Design and implement robust and scalable web services using C# and .NET technologies.
• Ensure the integrity and security of web services.
• Collaborate with other architects, BAs and developers to implement technical solution.

Synchronous and Asynchronous Communication:

• Apply and manage synchronous and asynchronous communication techniques.
• Use and integrate technologies such as synchronous and asynchronous communication via message queues
• Optimize communication processes to enhance system performance and reliability

Database Programming:

• Develop and optimize web base backends for database solutions, preferably with MS SQL Server.
• Ensure data integrity and security through efficient database management and maintenance.
• Create and maintain stored procedures, views, and database triggers inside databases

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of existing applications
• Development of a new application
• This developer is foreseen for the coming project to implement a satellite application for OSM. The application is to be used in future by all environmental laboratories in Europe as an OSM extension for the housing industry and thus offers a long-term perspective.
• As long as the legacy applications (Vivace, Hurtigruten) so called New Approach apps are in use, this candidate must also take care of the maintenance of the so-called O/R bridge until the New Approach (Blomesystem LIMS, Vivace, Hurtigruten, OR/Bridge) is decommissioned.
• He must support 2nd level support and is responsible for 3rd level support of applications

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA:
Eurofins has a strong focus on the Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
Additional Information
Prior experience in industrial settings, and especially with Laboratory processes, is a plus.
