Department Overview Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) UI Engineering team provides strategic technology solutions in UI space to both the SDI and Community Banking lines of business, including UI design, development, and support across Desktop, Mobile and Native applications. Position Overview At WellsFargo, Lead Software Engineers are both domain expert and tech-savvy. As senior individual contributors, Lead Engineers work on our complex problems and provide right direction to the team. UI Lead Software Engineers are asked to venture beyond comfortable approaches to pioneer new spaces, and inspire other team members as to what\'s possible. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality customer experience is important. As a Senior Software Engineer in UI Engineering team for Android app development you will be expected to: Design, develop and build application for the Android platform. Collaborate with the UI engineers and different stakeholders to define, design, and ship new features. Identify and suggest performance optimization. Implement new product features and support existing ones. Acclimate to new technologies and situations with the vision of providing best in class user experience. Prepare test plan, test cases and execute/automate them. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Drive innovations and actively mentor individuals and the community on advanced technical trends and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members. Qualifications Bachelors or Master\'s Degree in Computer Science or related field. 8+ years of software engineering experience, with proven track record of leading large-scale projects and delivering high-quality systems. Ability to understand the organization strategy / business requirement and provide technical solutions for complex problems. Expert knowledge of Android OS and SDK, Android Studio and other associated tools for development, debugging and instrumentation. Experience with concepts of Android - Kotlin, Jetpack libraries, asynchronous programming, background tasks, dependency management, functional reactive programming and ability to design applications around Android recommended user interfaces and design principles. Good understanding of load testing, scalability testing and stress testing. Good knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms and OS. Good understanding of profiling CPU, Memory, Battery, Rendering and network bandwidths in the app. Good understanding of different security controls in mobile App. Ability to promote and implement automation mechanism across development, testing, monitoring, build and deployment. Good experience in optimizing performance of complicated applications. Exceptional communication skills. Willing to go the extra mile to do things right and fast. Able to learn large scale complex systems quickly. Experience in shipping successful projects in an agile environment.
