Job Specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline(s)
• 5~7 years of relevant scientific experience with recognition

Special Skills & Knowledge

• Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer
• Experience in Database Queries and Tuning
• Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural
• Knowledge of the .NET languages
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Demonstrated understanding of scientific software applications and experience as a power user.
• Sound understanding of life and laboratory research sciences and analytics tools & techniques for data interpretation & analysis

Key Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer-facing capabilities
• Participate in requirements analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
• Test and deploy applications and systems
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code
• Improve existing software
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support

Key Accountabilities

Strategic

• Become a trusted advisor to customers
• Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and resolve problems
• Work with customers to build and deliver differentiated solutions leveraging the company\xe2\x80\x99s products, together with broader PerkinElmer products and expertise
• Identify new features and product enhancements based on customer feedback and provide input to Product Management Teams
• Maintain and assume accountability for a culture of high customer service

Operational

• Create clear requirements documentation
• Deliver application specific training, both internally and externally
• Build and execute project work plans in a timely manner, tracking & reporting on status & risks
• Revise and keep all project documents up-to-date
• Participate effectively in team and customer meetings
