Our Software Infrastructure Services team builds and operates internal platform services for Akamai\'s cloud compute platform. Our software supports the command and control systems for Akamai\'s connected cloud. The Orchestration team will focus on systems that deploy VMs, storage, load balancers and other resources.

Make a difference to our software quality

We\'re looking for a talented engineer to work with our Orchestration team in India. You will ensure the quality of the highly complex systems that run our distributed clouds. Our software supports the command and control systems for Akamai\'s connected cloud.. You will collaborate with the development and service-reliability teams with systems architects, product and program managers, and internal customers.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• Having 5+ years of relevant experience and a BTech/MTech degree in computer science or equivalent
• Demonstrating excellence coding in Python and automation through Bash scripting
• Having experience in Linux system administration (specifically, server administration, networking, system internals, and package management)
• Having experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Github Actions, SaltStack or Pulumi
• Having Bash and scripting fundamentals
• Having exposure in network fundamentals (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5-8 years of experience and a bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Have demonstrated experience in developing test automation in Python, Java or any other language
• Be passionate about solving large scale distributed systems problems.
• Enjoy working as a team, collaborating, and solving problems with others.
• Have exposure or interest in working with internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
• Have good knowledge of Jenkins, CI/CD system
