About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and a deep understanding of microservice architecture and RPC-based communication. In this role, you will design and build scalable distributed systems, define service interactions, and ensure reliable communication across services. You will also mentor the team, influence architectural decisions, and help drive our technical strategy.

Responsibilities

Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain microservices using Node.js with a focus on RPC-based communication and APIs.

Service Communication: Implement and optimize RPC frameworks (gRPC, JSON-RPC, or custom RPC solutions) for efficient inter-service communication.

System Design: Define service boundaries, data contracts, and communication protocols across distributed systems.

Code Quality: Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.

Scalability & Reliability: Ensure services are highly available, fault-tolerant, and performant.

CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration: Work with DevOps to manage deployments, monitoring, and observability.

Mentorship: Guide junior developers on Node.js best practices, microservices, and RPC implementations.

Collaboration: Partner with product, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions.

Technical Expertise:

Strong proficiency in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript).

Solid understanding of RPC mechanisms (e.g., gRPC, JSON-RPC, Thrift, or custom implementations).

Experience building RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.

Hands-on knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Strong background in databases (SQL & NoSQL).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.

Strong grasp of distributed systems, service discovery, and fault tolerance.

Understanding of security practices in inter-service communication.

Salary - As per industry norm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
