We are looking for a Senior SL3 Engineer to join our Single Sign-On Services Engineering team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for handling complex production issues, performing deep technical analysis, and driving root cause resolution across critical systems. You'll act as a technical escalation point for SL1 and SL2 teams, working closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong debugging skills, cloud infrastructure knowledge, and a proactive mindset to prevent future incidents and improve operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities
Lead investigation and resolution of critical production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence
Debug complex issues across Java services, OAuth2/SAML/OpenID Connect flows, and federated identity systems
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system observability, reliability, and performance
Analyze logs, metrics, and traces using tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack
Support release activities and validate production readiness of new deployments
Maintain and enhance runbooks, knowledge base articles, and incident response documentation
Work closely with SL1/SL2/Development teams to triage and escalate issues appropriately
Contribute to automation of support tasks and monitoring improvements
Ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit standards
Your skills and experience
Strong experience in Java, Python, or similar backend technologies
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and Docker
Familiarity with authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
Hands-on experience with Linux, Bash scripting, and infrastructure troubleshooting
Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication and collaboration skills across global teams
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Fluent in English
