The role demands a hands-on approach to problem-solving, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of construction sites. Ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects in line with specifications.
Technical Expertise:
Oversee and supervise all civil engineering aspects of the site, especially in PEB, steel structuring, and related works.
Estimation & Measurement:
Perform site surveys, prepare detailed estimates, and provide accurate measurements for cost and material planning.
Client Handling:
Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the project team. Ensure clear communication, manage client expectations, and resolve any concerns that arise during the project lifecycle.
Labor & Resource Management:
Supervise labor force, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure the efficient use of resources, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to safety protocols.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and local laws.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of construction activities, progress reports, project schedules, and other related documentation.
Team Leadership:
Guide and mentor junior engineers and site staff to promote team development and ensure high standards of workmanship.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in civil engineering, with hands-on experience in PEB, steel structure construction, and site management.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in site estimation, material measurement, labor handling, and project management tools.
Project Management:
Proven experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to manage deadlines and budgets.
Client Interaction:
Strong client management skills with the ability to maintain good relationships and communicate technical issues effectively.
Leadership:
Ability to lead teams, supervise labor, and resolve conflicts on-site.
Certifications:
Any relevant certifications in construction safety, project management, or specialized areas in civil engineering will be an added advantage.
