As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a

Senior Shopify Developer (Associate Tech Lead)

who will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and high-performing eCommerce solutions. This is an opportunity to lead talented developers, define architectural standards, and contribute to the next generation of omnichannel digital commerce experiences.

About the Role

We are seeking a

highly skilled and motivated Senior Shopify Developer (Associate Tech Lead)

with strong expertise in

Magento, Shopify, and Laravel

. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader--capable of architecting solutions, mentoring team members, reviewing code, and ensuring high-quality technical deliveries. This role demands a blend of

technical excellence, leadership, and strategic thinking

to deliver scalable and reliable eCommerce solutions.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

Collaborate with the Tech Lead and contribute to technical planning, solution design, and architectural decisions. Lead by example--write clean, modular, and scalable code following best practices. Conduct regular

code reviews

, enforce coding standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior developers, guiding them on code quality, performance optimization, and efficient problem-solving.

Magento Development

Lead development and customization of

Magento 2 modules and themes

. Optimize Magento stores for

performance, scalability, and security

. Manage

upgrades, patching cycles

, and complex integrations with third-party services. Demonstrate ability to independently handle end-to-end Magento projects.

Shopify & Laravel Development

Customize

Shopify themes and applications

using Liquid, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs. Develop and maintain

RESTful APIs and web applications

using Laravel. Lead integration projects involving interoperability between

Magento, Shopify, and Laravel

systems.

Code Quality, Training & Documentation

Define and maintain

code review guidelines

, reusable checklists, and best practice documents. Develop internal technical documentation, training guides, and reusable frameworks. Conduct

technical training sessions and workshops

on modern PHP practices, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Project Ownership

Actively participate in

sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives

. Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with

QA, UI/UX, Product, and DevOps

teams for seamless delivery.

DevOps & Performance (Preferred)

Work with tools like

Git, Jenkins, and Docker

to implement CI/CD pipelines. Drive

application performance optimization

, scalability, and load testing efforts.

Must-Have Skills

7+ years of professional experience in

Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce)

development, including

custom modules and themes

. Strong hands-on expertise in

Shopify

and

Laravel

frameworks. In-depth understanding of

OOP, MVC architecture, and SOLID principles

. Experience with

Git, Composer, Docker

, and version control best practices. Proven debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with

Headless eCommerce

or

PWA

implementations (Magento/Shopify). Exposure to

React

or

Vue.js

for advanced frontend integrations. Understanding of

SEO

accessibility

responsive mobile-first

design principles. Familiarity with

Agile/Scrum methodologies

Education

Bachelor's degree
