Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Shopify Developer for the technical migration of our e-commerce website ShopLC.com from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify. The role requires advanced knowledge of Shopify (preferably Shopify Enterprise), deep expertise in e-commerce architecture, and proven hands-on experience in data, catalog, and systems migration.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Shopify Development & Customization:

Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify themes, templates, and Liquid code.

Build custom Shopify apps and scripts where out-of-the-box solutions are insufficient.

Ensure responsive, pixel-perfect, and high-performance front-end development.

B. Architecture & System Design:

Define scalable Shopify Plus architecture to support complex e-commerce needs.

Implement headless commerce solutions where necessary (using APIs, Storefront API, GraphQL).

Optimize for performance, SEO, Core Web Vitals, and Lighthouse scores.

C. Migration Activities:

Execute catalog migration (products, variants, attributes, pricing, media).

Migrate customer accounts, orders, and historical data with accuracy and integrity.

Build data pipelines/APIs for bulk imports and syncs.

D. Integrations & APIs:

Integrate Shopify with ERP, WMS, PIM, CRM, Payment Gateways, and Marketing Platforms.

Develop and maintain API connections between Shopify and third-party tools.

Ensure secure authentication and data handling across integrations.

E. Quality Assurance & Testing:

Troubleshoot and debug code for performance, security, and reliability.

Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.

F. Documentation & Handover:

Maintain detailed technical documentation for code, integrations, and workflows.

Provide knowledge transfer and technical training to internal developers.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

5-8+ years of e-commerce development experience, with 3+ years in Shopify Plus or Enterprise.

Advanced proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), React, Node.js.

Experience with Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL), Storefront API, and webhooks.

Hands-on experience in data migration, ETL processes, and bulk product imports.

Solid understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.

Strong knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.

Proven ability to deliver complex Shopify migration or re-platforming projects.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with headless Shopify implementations.

Familiarity with serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers, etc.).

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.

Knowledge of security best practices for e-commerce (PCI compliance, GDPR, tokenization).
