We are now looking for an experienced

SEO Specialist

to lead and execute our search engine optimization strategy and help drive our digital growth.

Role Overview

As an SEO Specialist at Purewood, you will be responsible for improving the company's organic visibility across search engines, enhancing traffic, and increasing conversions through strategic SEO initiatives. You will work closely with the marketing, content, design, and web development teams to implement best SEO practices for both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies (on-page, off-page, and technical) to improve organic rankings and traffic. Conduct detailed keyword research to guide content teams and product pages. Perform regular SEO audits and competitor analysis to identify areas for improvement. Optimize website structure, meta tags, images, and content for better indexing and performance. Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc. Create and manage backlinks strategy including outreach, guest posting, and digital PR. Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices. Collaborate with developers to ensure technical SEO standards are met (site speed, crawlability, mobile-friendliness, schema markup). Support in content strategy planning for blogs, category pages, and product descriptions with a strong SEO focus. Prepare monthly SEO performance reports and present insights and recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of proven SEO experience, preferably in the eCommerce or furniture/home decor industry. Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors. Proficiency in SEO tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and others. Experience working with CMS platforms like Shopify, WordPress, or Magento. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Preferred Skills

Experience with international SEO. Familiarity with local SEO strategies for India. Understanding of content marketing and social media impact on SEO. Knowledge of schema markup and structured data.
