Key Responsibilities
1. SEO Strategy, Research & Planning
Develop comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business and client goals.
Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and industry trend mapping.
Build monthly and quarterly SEO roadmaps with clear deliverables and KPIs.
2. On-Page & Technical SEO
Optimize website structure, metadata, internal linking, content hierarchy, and crawlability.
Perform regular technical SEO audits (Core Web Vitals, mobile performance, indexing).
Work closely with developers to ensure implementation of SEO best practices.
Identify and resolve technical issues affecting rankings and visibility.
3. Content Strategy & Optimization
Identify content opportunities for blogs, landing pages, and product/service pages.
Create SEO content briefs and guide writers on keyword usage and content structure.
Review, optimize, and update existing content for ranking and conversion improvements.
4. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
Plan and execute link-building strategies including outreach, PR, and collaboration campaigns.
Maintain and monitor backlink profile health and take action on harmful links.
Build relationships with publishers, bloggers, and industry partners.
5. Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
Monitor SEO performance across tools like GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
Track rankings, traffic, conversions, and user behaviour insights.
Prepare clear weekly/monthly reports with insights, results, and action plans.
Run A/B tests to improve CTR, conversions, and overall traffic quality.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination
Oversee and mentor junior SEO executives, interns, and outsourced resources.
Assign tasks, review deliveries, and ensure timely execution across multiple projects.
Build standard processes, checklists, and SOPs for the SEO team.
Collaborate with internal departments -- content, design, development, and social media.
7. Client Communication & Project Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all SEO activities.
Conduct review calls to present project progress, insights, and recommendations.
Communicate project timelines, deliverables, and performance updates clearly and professionally.
Translate technical SEO concepts into simple, actionable insights for clients.
Gather client feedback, align expectations, and ensure smooth execution by the internal team.
Proactively flag issues, delays, or challenges with solutions.
8. Continuous Improvement & Industry Awareness
Stay updated with Google algorithm changes, SEO trends, and new tools.
Experiment with new approaches, tools, and techniques to improve performance.
Contribute to overall digital strategy by bringing in SEO-focused growth ideas.

Required Skills & Qualifications
4-6 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred).
Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and analytics tools.
Proficiency in GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience managing a small SEO team or guiding junior members.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong presentation skills and client-facing experience.
