Keeps the segregation areas neat, clean and well stocked with consumables
Aware and prepare hypochlorite solution (0.1% for workbench and 0.5% for sharp disposal) daily as per lab safety policy.
Segregation and safe disposal of biomedical waste.
Records and maintains daily monitoring checklist and submit for verification.
Check and update the temperature while receiving the samples in log register.
Verify and accurately label the vacutainers (patient's name, age, gender) based on the test requested
Always enter date, time ,specimen type and temperature in sample receiving log
Appropriately stores and prepares specimens for transportation in accordance with established guidelines
Enforces and follows all laboratory safety rules and reports any possible hazards to the Incharges
Shares appropriate communication with Incharge involving different type of specimen receiving.
Responds to changes in work schedules as necessary or as requested to work a different work shift when workload and / or other conditions
Aware of all procedures in accordance with lab policies and upgrade, if needed
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and should not solicit nor accept tips, gifts or other courtesies from patients or their relatives.
Ensure that samples are properly packed and transported to department with proper cold chain.
Follow up of pending report with department for on time report delivery.
