Job Description

We are hiring for Senior Scala/Akka Microservices Developer
Experience: 4 8 years
Locations: Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Trivandrum
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver microservices-based solutions using Scala and Akka (including Akka Streams).
Drive event-driven architectures and implement robust, scalable solutions aligned with our NextGen transformation.
Lead test-driven development (TDD) within an agile, collaborative team setting.
Use GRPC, Protocol Buffers, Docker containers, and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments.
Work closely with DevOps: automate deployments, leverage AWS, Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (Batch/Bash).
Collaborate on Jira and Confluence; ensure clear communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
4 8 years' hands-on Scala development experience.
Deep expertise with Akka Framework (including Akka Streams).
Designing and developing microservices (preferably event-driven architectures).
Experience with GRPC and Protocol Buffers.
Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes; understanding of cloud-native apps.
Familiarity with AWS and IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models.
Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform (basic), plus scripting in Batch and Bash.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with Python scripting.
Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD), integration/unit testing best practices.
Hands-on deploying apps on AWS and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Awareness of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Lightbend Akka Certification
