Job Purpose:
The Senior Sales Officer is responsible for driving agri-input product sales, managing dealer/distributor networks, achieving revenue targets, and providing agronomic support to farmers. The role focuses on expanding market reach and ensuring customer satisfaction in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development:
Promote and sell agricultural products such as seeds, fertilizers, crop protection chemicals, or agri-equipment.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Generate new business leads and follow up with potential customers.
Channel Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers.
Monitor dealer stock levels, payments, and order placements.
Ensure timely delivery of products and support to channel partners.
Field Activities:
Conduct field demonstrations, farmer meetings, and crop seminars.
Provide technical guidance and product information to farmers and field staff.
Monitor crop performance and collect farmer feedback for product improvement.
Market Intelligence:
Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
Collect data on market demand, crop patterns, and customer preferences.
Submit regular reports on market analysis and field visits.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional activities.
Support junior sales officers and provide guidance as needed.
Liaise with supply chain and finance departments to ensure smooth operations.

Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas
Educational Qualifications:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture / Agri Business / Horticulture or related fields
MBA in Agri-Business (preferred but not mandatory)
Work Environment:
Primarily field-based role involving travel to villages, farms, and dealer locations.
