Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business goals for corporate gifting, festive hampers and consumer gifting segments.
Lead, mentor and manage the sales team (inside sales, field sales, key account managers) to ensure performance, KPIs and growth.
Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities: corporate clients, bulk orders, partnerships with events, weddings, festivals.
Manage and grow key accounts -- nurture long-term relationships with existing corporate clients and ensure high customer satisfaction, retention and repeat orders.
Coordinate with marketing & product teams to design promotional campaigns, seasonal offerings, catalogs and corporate-branded hampers.
Forecast sales, set quotas, monitor performance against targets, report metrics to senior management.
Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, pricing, client feedback -- use insights to refine offerings and pricing strategies.
Work closely with operations, logistics and customer service teams to ensure delivery timelines, quality packaging, and excellent client experience.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, networking forums to build brand presence and business leads.
Prepare proposals, presentations, contracts and manage negotiations with clients.
Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities (e.g., premium hampers, customisation options, eco-friendly lines) to maximize revenue per client.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree (Sales/Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent); MBA preferred.
Minimum
8-10 years
of relevant sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets, preferably in FMCG, retail gifting, luxury goods or corporate services.
Experience in both B2B (corporate bulk orders) and B2C retail sales.
Strong leadership and team-management skills.
Excellent negotiation, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed (for client meetings, events).
Analytical mindset -- comfortable with forecasting, budgeting, using CRM tools and sales analytics.
Knowledge of the gifting / hamper / premium retail category is a plus.
