Position: Senior Sales Manager (Aerospace/Defence)
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Sr Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts from Bengaluru. With 10-15 years of experience, the ideal candidate will be a veteran of the defense and aerospace ecosystem, possessing the "gravitas" to engage with senior leadership in both public and private sectors.
You will be responsible for driving the sales strategy for our high-reliability electronic
components (RF cable assemblies, connectors, and wire harnesses) while identifying high
value opportunities for our broader RF portfolio, including filters, LNAs, and power amplifiers.
This role requires a blend of technical mastery, sophisticated negotiation skills, and a deep
network within India's defense establishments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management: Lead the long-term engagement strategy for Tier-1 defense accounts (BEL, HAL, key DRDO labs), ensuring NKRF is positioned as a preferred partner for
multi-year programs.
Revenue Growth & Market Leadership: Own the sales lifecycle from lead generation to
contract closure, consistently meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets.
High-Level Networking: Leverage an established network to gain access to senior decision
makers (Scientists, GMs, and Procurement Heads) at DRDO, BEL, HAL, ISRO, and major private
defense contractors.
Technical Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert, translating complex client
requirements into viable technical and commercial solutions alongside our engineering teams.
Proposal & Contract Oversight: Oversee the preparation of complex techno-commercial bids,
ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements for defense-grade applications are met.
Competitive Intelligence: Analyze market trends, competitor movements, and upcoming
government tenders to refine our product roadmap and sales approach.
Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members and foster a culture of high performance and technical excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 10-15 years of proven success in technical sales within the Defense and
Aerospace industry. A track record of handling high-value contracts (multi-crore) is essential.
Technical Expertise:
Core: Deep understanding of RF cable assemblies, connectors, and wire harnesses.
Advanced: Familiarity with RF subsystems (filters, LNAs, Power Amplifiers) and their
integration into larger defense platforms.
Education: Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and public speaking skills.
Ability to navigate the bureaucracy of the public sector and the agility of private aerospace
firms.
Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of DPP (Defence Procurement Procedure) and indigenous manufacturing (Make in India) guidelines.
Location: Based in Bengaluru with a willingness to travel extensively to strategic defense hubs
across India.
