The Senior Sales & Operations Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth while ensuring operational excellence across the manufacturing business. This position owns end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), aligning commercial strategy, production capacity, supply chain, and financial objectives.
The role requires a seasoned leader with deep manufacturing experience, strong commercial insight, and the ability to influence at executive level while leading cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Sales Leadership
Define and execute long-term sales and commercial strategies aligned with company objectives
Own revenue growth, pricing strategy, margin improvement, and market expansion initiatives
Lead key customer relationships, strategic accounts, and high-value contract negotiations
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to guide strategic decisions
Operations & Manufacturing Oversight
Provide strategic direction for production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation
Ensure sales commitments are aligned with manufacturing capabilities and supply chain constraints
Oversee inventory strategy, demand planning, and logistics to optimize cash flow and service levels
Partner with manufacturing leadership to drive efficiency, quality, and cost optimization
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Leadership
Own and lead the company's S&OP process across sales, operations, finance, and supply chain
Deliver accurate demand forecasts and scenario planning to support executive decision-making
Translate commercial demand into executable operational plans
Present performance insights, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
Financial & Performance Management
Manage sales and operations budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets
Drive margin improvement through pricing discipline, cost control, and process optimization
Establish and monitor KPIs related to sales performance, service levels, inventory, and production
Lead corrective actions to address performance gaps
Continuous Improvement & Systems
Champion continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, process optimization)
Lead ERP, CRM, and reporting system enhancements to support data-driven decision making
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Leadership & People Management
Lead and develop senior managers across sales, planning, and operations
Build a high-performance, accountable culture across commercial and operational teams
Coach and mentor future leaders within the organization
Play a key role in workforce planning and succession management
Qualifications & Experience
