Major Activities

Development Practice Accountabilities

Contribute to the team by applying best practice methodologies and industry recognised standards, processes and systems, then ensuring RPA developers are clear regarding these ways of working. Ensure this development practice is documented, stored, and maintained for all to access. Take ownership of day-to-day management/interaction with developers and implement/maintain control points through ways of working to reduce risk for VA. Provide technical advice to developers to ensure design practices are consistent and potential component reuse is high. Plan and allocate resources across development activities to ensure effective delivery against the RPA pipeline. Provide on-going support of developed solutions to reduce the impact of defects and quickly adapt to changed business conditions, complying with incident and change management processes. Develop smaller automations using the RPA toolset through the deployment pipeline as part of BAU. Continually look for ways to improve and modernise the RPA development practice, championing relevant advancements as the subject matter expert.

Essential Qualifications

Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.

Essential Experience

Experience as a [Senior] RPA Developer. Experience leading a small team to deliver business outcomes. Track record of identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and delivering effective change within sphere of control. Experience in proactive risk assessment and management in project delivery. Relevant experience in a large complex organisation. Experience with Agile and Waterfall project delivery. Hands on experience with the following technologies: AWS, RPA (UiPath; Studio, Orchestrator, Apps - SaaS and On Prem), GitLab, Workflow Analyzer, Jira or similar. Track record of understanding and applying security practices.

Desirable Experience

Experience working in the Travel Industry. UiPath Document Understanding.

Essential skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels with team members and colleagues. Demonstrated passion for technology and ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools. Solution design and development skills Self-motivation and ability to use logic in decision making to enable self-management. Familiarity with network diagnostics tools. Team management and leadership skills.
