I. JOB DETAILS
Job Title
Senior Resident-Obstetrics & Gynecology

II. JOB PURPOSE
To ensure smooth operations of department
III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities

• To effectively interface with patients & attendants and to co-ordinate on all matters relating to:
• To provide need based assistance in selection of type & nature of medical consumables and equipment to be procured.
• To practice evidence based medicine with awareness regarding patients, proper evaluation and deciding adequate line of treatment. {Investigation- (profile/reports/plan)} {Treatment- (details/drug procurement)} {Drug Allergies/ patient history}.
• To assist Consultants as per institution's guidelines while carrying out procedures like Hyterectomy, Abscess Drainage, Biopsy Cervix, Cystectomy, Colposcopy, Tuboplasty, Excision, Laprotomy, Myomectomy, Suturing & Suture Removals, etc.
• To timely coordinate with other specialties.
• To keep abreast with latest research & treatment techniques in the field of Obs. & Gynae.
• To attend emergencies as per institution's protocol and to ensure the department is suitably equipped at all times.
• To ensure optimum utilization of resources by him/her and subordinates, complaint redressal of patients, ensure quality of treatment & services, sterilization and accuracy during the various diagnostics & procedures and eliminate/minimize errors therein.
• To supervise & train all nursing/technical assistants of the department.
• To ensure cost effectiveness of the operation of the department.
• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
• To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
• To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
• To comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
• To comply with patient safety policy.
• To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system

Measurable Deliverables

• Zero technical errors.
• Patient's satisfaction.
• Less than 2% complaints from patients.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
M.B.B.S, MD Obs & Gynae
Experience
Preferably with 0-1 or more years of experience.

Language Skills
English, Hindi & Punjabi
