I. JOB DETAILS
Job Title
Senior Resident-Pediatrics
Reporting Supervisor

II. JOB PURPOSE
To ensure smooth operations of department
III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities

• To provide expert consultation and manage all patients related to pediatrics with the knowledge of senior consultants.
• To keep abreast with latest research, development & techniques in the field of pediatrics
• To conduct and supervise all tests / procedures related to pediatrics
• To generate reports on test / procedures performed (Operation notes and discharge summary)
• To ensure proper attention to the patient & their attendants.
• To ensure that the wards / O.T. rooms have equipment / facilities necessary for rendering patient care as per availability.
• To supervise all nursing / para medical and non medical staff of the department to maintain discipline and high standard of medical care at the departments.
• To provision infrastructure and maintenance support
• To ensure optimum utilization of resources by the him /her and subordinates
• To co-ordinate with Head Of Department on all matters relating to:
• To co-ordinate and contribute with the team for development of newer facilities
• To proactive in terms of patient care (Planning and anticipation)
• To complaint redressal of patients
• To take part in all regular CME's.
• To select type and nature of medical consumables and equipment to be procured.
• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
• To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
• To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
• To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area
• To Comply with patient safety policy
• To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.

• IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Measurable Deliverables

• Handling of all Emergencies / ICU and ward patients
• 100% updation and maintenance of Medical Record Documents of Emergency / ICU/MLC/OP/IP patients

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
M.B.B.S, MD Pediatrics
Experience
Preferably with 1-2 or more years of experience.

Technical Skills

• Quality patient care
• Computer literate
• Fluent with relevant equipment handling
• Good clinical knowledge

Language Skills
English, Hindi & Punjabi
