Join us as 'Senior Research Associate' in HHC Formulation Centre (TS & Innovation), Bangalore

Welcome to Novonesis

Key Responsibilities:

Formulation Development:

+ Develop new prototypes and reformulate existing formulations to achieve superior wash performance with the inclusion of enzymes.
+ Drive sustainability initiatives in household care products.

Experimental Work:

+ Prepare and carry out experimental work according to experimental plans to meet specific project goals.
+ Maintain required inventory of samples, chemicals, and other supplies
+ Review experimental data to ensure accuracy, interpret and summarize results within the context of the specific experiment, and report organized data and information to scientist.

Laboratory Management:

+ Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order through calibration, preventative maintenance, upgrades, safety-related and necessary repairs.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of experiments containing plans, data/results, and calculations.
+ Ensure that technical information, experimental plans, data, and results/reports are appropriately archived.

Communication and Collaboration:

+ Use oral, written, and visual tools to report progress of assigned activities, especially in discussion and review of own laboratory work with the project scientist.
+ Provide constructive feedback to peers, project scientists, and supervisors.

Innovation and Problem Solving:

+ Carry out new experiments and test new methods under minimal scientist guidance.
+ Develop and adapt new methods based on own understanding of a technical area.
+ Prepare experiment plans within the scope of defined projects with minimal scientist guidance.
+ Assist scientists in developing project plans covering the experimental work and show initiative in problem-solving.
+ Exhibit scientific curiosity and demonstrate the ability to analyze data and form conclusions providing technical insight.
+ Understand and explain the underlying scientific basis for developing new methods.

Technical Expertise:

+ Assume the role of super user or technical specialist for specialized equipment.
+ Understand and apply numerous technologies and methods within a relevant application area.
+ Assume the role of a technical specialist for an application field, fostering beneficial contacts with global colleagues and external partners.
+ Demonstrate initiative and leadership in improving the quality of work/lab environment at the department/area level.

Qualification:

M. Tech / M.Sc / B.Tech in Chemical Sciences/Chemical Engineering/Biotech with 3 or more years' experience in Household care.
