The "Senior Requirement Engineer - Embedded & Automotive" is responsible for Requirement Engineering activity in embedded connectivity products. Projects could include: Connectivity Modules and Network Gateway Modules, utilizing technologies such as embedded microprocessors, Ethernet, cellular modems (LTE, 5G, etc..), Bluetooth / WiFi chipsets along with GPS/GNSS technology.

Function of the role is to deliver production intent, automotive grade software to enable connectivity and security for future vehicles and mobility solutions. This position is located in our Bangalore, India Office.

Qualifications

• 8+ Years of Experience working in Automotive, Telematics, IoT domains
• Minimum 4+ years as Requirement Engineering

Additional Information

Expected Skillsets:

• Expertise in Embedded Requirement Engineering (System & SW)
• Requirement management in DOORS at each level (Customer/Stakeholder requirement, System Requirement, Software requirement etc.) with ASPICE compliant process (includes mandatory attributes of RE, definition of test method/ verification criteria etc.)
• Requirement Modelling/Design with Architecture Tools like Enterprise Architect, Visio etc.
• Knowledge of Software Design concepts, UML modelling etc.
• Knowledge of Connectivity domain & concepts like Edge Data Analytics, Firmware Over The Air (FOTA), ECU-FOTA, Diagnostics etc.
• Knowledge of Communication protocols - CAN, J1939, UDS etc.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol, & internet interfaces (LTE, WiFi, Ethernet etc.)
• Knowledge of Embedded Product development process
• Knowledge of Embedded SDLC Tools- DOORS, RTC, RQM, PowerBi etc.

Responsibilities

• Elicitation of Customer requirements, Analysis, & Allocation of requirements to System and then to SW along with Mech & HW req (with respective stakeholders)
• Prepare requirement models/designs to explain requirements to all stakeholders at all levels
• Organize & drive requirement workshop to analyze the requirements with state of art parameters (feasibility, completeness, etc.)
• Identify the risks, assumptions, queries etc. and discuss & resolve/align with Customer
• Define Internal-Stakeholders requirement (performance, non-functional requirements, security, safety etc.) based on the project need
• Ensure Requirement Bidirectional Traceability at each level (As per ASPICE compliant Requirement Engineering process) few examples includes:

• Bi-directional Traceability of Stakeholders req. to System followed by System design/interfaces,
• Bi-directional Traceability from System req to Software Requirement and SW design/interfaces
• Bidirectional traceability from Requirement to test cases (System test cases, SW etc.)
• Track and guide team to have bidirectional traceability at implementation level
• Usage of Tools like RTC and RQM to have traceability with DOORS
• Support in preparation of all necessary artefacts for Quality gates/ Audit reviews
• Support to Project management activities (estimation and planning of requirements etc.)

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related Technical Discipline
• 4+ years of experience in requirement engineering
• Proficiency on requirement managements tools such as DOORS, RTC, RQM, ALM tool suites.
• Proficiency in automotive A-spice methodology and SDLC processes
• Domain knowledge on IoT solutions for automotive domain
• Good oratory skills
• Ability to work independently with the customer and suppliers and produce excellent results.

Experience on Embedded Automotive Domain with understanding of ECUs, CAN communications etc.
