Key Responsibilities
Identify hiring needs for machine shop departments such as CNC Operators, Programmers, Setters, Quality Inspectors, Production Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, Welders, Fitters, etc.
Source, screen, and shortlist candidates through various channels (job portals, social media, internal database, references).
Evaluate candidates' technical skills related to machining, tooling, gauges, drawings, and shop-floor processes.
Coordinate and schedule interviews with production and quality teams.
Maintain a strong pipeline of skilled manpower for high-demand positions.
Handle end-to-end recruitment: job posting, sourcing, screening, negotiating salary, onboarding support.
Collaborate with HR and department heads to understand manpower planning.
Conduct background checks, document verification, and joining formalities.
Track recruitment metrics and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
Ensure timely closure of all technical positions with quality candidates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering, HR, or related field.
3-7 years
of experience in recruitment, preferably in a
machine shop or manufacturing industry
.
Strong knowledge of machining processes: CNC, VMC, HMC, conventional machines, fabrication, tooling, and assembly.
Ability to assess technical skills and job fit for shop-floor roles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using ATS, job portals, and MS Office.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
