About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Senior Recruiter
with proven expertise in sourcing, managing, and engaging freelancers through platforms such as
Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer.com and other online marketplaces
. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building our extended freelance workforce, ensuring we onboard skilled professionals who align with our project needs and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Freelancer Sourcing & Recruitment:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality freelancers across global platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer.com, etc.).
Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for recurring project needs.
Talent Assessment & Management:
Review freelancer portfolios, conduct screening interviews, and assess technical/functional capabilities.
Negotiate project rates, contracts, and timelines with freelancers.
Ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with internal teams (project managers, department leads) to understand project needs and define freelancer requirements.
Act as the bridge between internal teams and external freelancers for smooth engagement.
Platform Strategy & Optimization:
Leverage Upwork, Fiverr, and other platforms effectively to build the company's employer profile and attract top talent.
Explore new freelancing platforms and communities to diversify sourcing channels.
Performance Monitoring:
Track freelancer performance, project delivery, and overall satisfaction.
Maintain long-term relationships with top-performing freelancers for future collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory:
4+ years of experience in recruitment, with at least
2+ years managing freelancers through platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer.com, etc.
Strong understanding of freelance marketplaces, bidding processes, and freelancer evaluation methods.
Proven track record of successfully hiring freelancers across technical, creative, and business functions.
Preferred:
Experience in remote-first or distributed teams.
Ability to manage multiple freelancer engagements simultaneously.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
