We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented
Quantity Surveyor (MEP)
to manage the cost estimation, planning, and control for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring MEP works are executed within budget and contractual guidelines while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates specifically for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, etc.).
Develop and manage project budgets for MEP works.
Tendering & BOQ Preparation:
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documents for MEP packages.
Analyze and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations and negotiate competitive pricing.
Procurement & Contract Management:
Assist in selecting vendors and subcontractors for MEP systems.
Review, evaluate, and negotiate MEP subcontractor contracts and variations.
Cost Control & Monitoring:
Track project costs, identify deviations, and ensure expenditures remain within the approved budget.
Forecast cash flow and prepare cost reports on MEP works for internal and client use.
Valuation & Billing:
Prepare and submit interim payment applications, final accounts, and subcontractor payment certificates.
Verify and certify subcontractor bills for MEP works.
Site Coordination & Progress Monitoring:
Work closely with MEP engineers, project managers, and site teams to align cost data with actual work progress.
Attend site meetings and participate in project reviews.
Variation & Claims Management:
Manage variations and change orders for MEP works with cost implications.
Support in preparing claims or handling contractual disputes related to MEP works.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a QS in MEP projects.
Familiarity with MEP systems and components, technical drawings, and construction practices.
Knowledge of local building codes, contract conditions (FIDIC, etc.), and MEP industry standards.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, CostX).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in large commercial or industrial MEP projects.
Membership in professional bodies like RICS, AIQS, or similar is an advantage.
Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green certifications (LEED, IGBC, etc.).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
