Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Estimation: Reviewing plans to calculate material, labor, and time requirements to produce accurate cost estimates.
Tendering & Contracting: Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities (BoQ).
Budgetary Control: Monitoring ongoing construction work, conducting site visits to value work, and approving payments to contractors.
Risk Management: Identifying commercial risks and advising on legal/contractual disputes.
Reporting: Providing regular, detailed financial reports on project progress and budget status.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Analytical & Numerical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing large datasets and managing complex budgets.
Software Proficiency: Experience with cost estimation software, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Microsoft Excel.
Negotiation & Communication: Ability to negotiate with contractors and collaborate with architects/engineers.
