Position Overview



We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS)

to join our construction team for a prestigious resort development in the Maldives. The role involves managing all cost and contract-related aspects of the project, ensuring financial efficiency, accurate reporting, and effective control of commercial risks from the contractor's perspective.

Key Responsibilities



Cost Management & Control


Prepare, monitor, and update project budgets, cash flows, and cost reports.

Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.

Measurement & Valuation


Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and valuations of work executed.

Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts for submission to the client.

Contract & Commercial Administration


Support contract negotiations, variations, and claims management.

Ensure compliance with FIDIC and other relevant contractual frameworks.

Subcontractor & Supplier Management


Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate subcontractor agreements.

Monitor subcontractor performance and certify payments.

Risk & Value Engineering


Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering solutions.

Assess and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting & Documentation


Maintain accurate records of cost data, variations, and contractual correspondence.

Provide regular commercial updates to senior management and project directors.

Team Leadership


Mentor junior quantity surveyors and support the commercial team.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management (RICS accreditation preferred). Minimum

8-12 years of experience

in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years in a senior role. Strong background in

hospitality/resort or large-scale construction projects

. Expertise in

FIDIC contracts

and international construction practices. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, cost management software, and project management tools. Ability to work in remote island environments and multicultural teams.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?120,000.00 - ?180,000.00 per month
