Key responsibilities
Strategy and system development: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS), quality control policies, and procedures.
Team leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the quality assurance and control team.
Quality assurance and control: Oversee all quality assurance and control activities, including inspections, audits, and data analysis.
Compliance and auditing: Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001), and customer requirements. Conduct and manage internal and external audits.
Continuous improvement: Analyze quality data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Cross-functional collaboration: Work with departments like production, product development, and engineering to integrate quality into all stages and resolve issues.
Supplier and customer management: Manage supplier quality and serve as a point of contact for customer quality issues and complaints.
Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
