Key responsibilities

Strategy and system development: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS), quality control policies, and procedures. Team leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the quality assurance and control team. Quality assurance and control: Oversee all quality assurance and control activities, including inspections, audits, and data analysis. Compliance and auditing: Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001), and customer requirements. Conduct and manage internal and external audits. Continuous improvement: Analyze quality data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Cross-functional collaboration: Work with departments like production, product development, and engineering to integrate quality into all stages and resolve issues. Supplier and customer management: Manage supplier quality and serve as a point of contact for customer quality issues and complaints.
Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.

Required skills and qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field like engineering or quality management.

Significant experience in quality assurance, with several years in a leadership or managerial role.

Strong knowledge of quality methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and Lean Six Sigma.

Experience with quality management systems and standards like ISO 9001.

Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are often preferred.
