Job Description

The Senior Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all manufactured plastic components meet the required quality, dimensional, and aesthetic specifications before, during, and after the production process. This role involves performing complex inspections, operating advanced metrology equipment, mentoring junior inspectors, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with injection molding, blow molding, or similar plastic manufacturing processes, and a strong background in dimensional inspection and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities



Inspection and Testing



Execute and document

complex first-article, in-process, and final inspections of various plastic components, including critical parts with tight tolerances.

Operate and program

sophisticated metrology equipment, such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Optical Comparators, and 3D scanners.

Perform visual and functional inspections

to identify cosmetic defects (e.g., flash, sink marks, warpage, color variations) and functional issues.

Interpret and apply

geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ($GD&T$) principles to engineering drawings and specifications.

Conduct and record

material property testing (e.g., hardness, melt flow index, impact strength) as required.

Quality Assurance and Control



Generate and manage

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for identified defects and ensure appropriate containment and disposition of non-conforming materials.

Assist Quality Engineers

in conducting Root Cause Analysis ($RCA$) and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions ($CAPA$).

Maintain and calibrate

inspection tools and equipment according to established schedules and procedures.

Ensure strict adherence

to ISO 9001 standards and company QMS procedures.

Participate

in internal and external audits.

Leadership and Training



Mentor and train

junior quality inspectors and production personnel on proper inspection techniques, equipment usage, and quality standards.

Serve as a subject matter expert

on component specifications and critical quality features.

Collaborate

with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, and Purchasing) to address quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
