SModi Infrasteel, one of North India's fastest-growing prime-quality PEB manufacturers, is looking for an experienced
Senior Quality Engineer
to lead and control all quality functions at our Rohad manufacturing facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure strict quality compliance in all PEB fabrication activities -- CNC cutting, H-beam fit-up, SAW/MIG welding, tacking, straightening, finishing and painting.
Conduct stage-wise QC inspections -- raw material verification, pre-weld checks, in-process checks, final inspection, dispatch clearances.
Implement and monitor QAP / ITP as per company standards; maintain all documentation and reports.
Ensure adherence to applicable codes -- IS 2062, IS 1161, IS 801, AWS D1.1, AISC, MBMA.
Verify and approve WPS, PQR, welder qualifications; conduct welding tests and skill evaluations.
Inspect paint preparation, blasting, monocoat/epoxy/PU coatings; ensure correct DFT and surface quality.
Interpret GA drawings, shop drawings, AB layouts, BOM and ensure manufacturing accuracy.
Identify NCRs, implement CAPA actions, and control recurrent quality issues.
Coordinate with the Production, PPC, Design, and Site teams for seamless quality execution.
Lead and mentor the QC team; ensure discipline and zero-compromise quality output.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
4-7 years experience in PEB / structural steel quality.
Strong understanding of weld processes, structural tolerances, NDT, QAP/ITP formats.
Ability to manage fast-paced fabrication cycles and enforce strict quality standards.
Excellent knowledge of documentation, reporting, NCR handling, and process improvements.
