Role Summary



The Senior Quality Control Executive is responsible for overseeing daily QC operations, ensuring product quality standards, conducting inspections and testing, analyzing defects, and supporting continuous improvement activities. This role requires strong technical expertise, knowledge of QC tools, and the ability to coordinate with production and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Inspection & Testing



Conduct

incoming, in-process, and final product inspections

as per established quality standards. Perform physical, chemical, and mechanical tests (based on industry requirements). Ensure proper calibration and functioning of testing instruments and equipment. Record and maintain inspection/testing results in QC logs.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance



Ensure compliance with

ISO standards, GMP, HACCP

, or other relevant certifications. Monitor adherence to SOPs, quality protocols, and regulatory guidelines. Support audits--internal, customer, and third-party certifications.

3. Documentation & Reporting



Prepare QC reports, deviation reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR). Maintain test records, batch records, and product quality documentation. Assist in preparing CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) documentation.

4. Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement



Identify recurring issues and analyze the root cause using QC tools like

5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, SPC

, etc. Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce defects and enhance product quality. Work closely with production, R&D, and QA teams to improve product consistency.

5. Supplier Quality & Material Verification



Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials and components. Coordinate with vendors for quality-related issues and improvements. Participate in supplier evaluation when required.

6. Team Coordination & Training



Guide and train junior QC inspectors/technicians. Ensure the QC team follows safety and quality procedures. Support cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities.

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong understanding of QC processes, testing methods, and quality standards. Knowledge of

ISO, GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, or other industry-specific requirements

. Hands-on experience with measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier, micrometer, hardness tester, lab equipment). Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, QC documentation, and ERP systems. Strong communication and team coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience



Education:

B.Sc./M.Sc (Chemistry, Microbiology, or related), Diploma/B.Tech in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical--based on industry).

Experience:

3-8 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing/lab/QC environment. Experience with audits, testing methods, and QC documentation is preferred.
