Position: Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Manager - Systems

Location: Mumbai (Full-time, Project Site)

Project: Metro Rail - 66kV & above GIS Substations, Power Supply & E&M Systems

Engagement: Full-time till completion of the Design-Build Period

Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualification:

Graduate in Electrical Engineering with

minimum 12 years of total work experience

, OR Diploma in Quality Assurance with

minimum 15 years of total work experience

.

Relevant Experience (Similar Works):

Graduate - Minimum

6 years

of experience in

Quality Assurance for 66kV or above GIS-based substations in Metro Rail / Railway / Power Infrastructure projects

. Diploma - Minimum

8 years

of experience in

QA of similar works

.

Requirement:

Shall be

deployed full-time in Mumbai

for this specific project till the completion of the Design-Build Period.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance Strategy & Planning

Develop, implement, and maintain the

Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)

for all Systems works (GIS substations, E&M, and associated electrical installations). Establish and oversee

Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

for electrical works including switchgear, transformers, SCADA, cabling, and earthing systems. Ensure compliance with

national & international standards (IEC, IEEE, IS), Metro Rail Authority QA guidelines, and contract specifications

.

2. Vendor & Material Quality

Review and approve

quality documents, test plans, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) reports, and OEM certifications

. Conduct/witness

Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT & SAT)

for GIS, transformers, switchgear, and control & protection systems. Verify and certify quality of all

supplied materials and equipment

prior to installation.

3. Site QA/QC Oversight

Ensure

installation quality of GIS substations, auxiliary substations, cabling, SCADA, and E&M systems

. Conduct inspections for

OHE and power supply interfaces

ensuring seamless integration with metro systems. Identify, record, and manage

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

, ensuring timely resolution.

4. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain complete and accurate

QA/QC records, test reports, calibration logs, and inspection documents

. Prepare and submit

periodic QA compliance reports

to Client, Consultant, and Project Director. Ensure

traceability of all QA records

for client handover and audits.

5. Leadership & Coordination

Lead the

Systems QA/QC team

and coordinate with design, execution, and client representatives. Provide

technical guidance and training

to project staff and contractors on QA procedures. Drive a

zero-defect, quality-first culture

across all project stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in

QA/QC of high-voltage substations (66kV & above, GIS preferred) and E&M systems integration

. Familiarity with

metro/railway project QA frameworks and safety standards

. Proficiency in

FAT, SAT, and QA reporting processes

. Excellent leadership, documentation, and

client coordination skills

. Ability to manage QA activities in

fast-paced design-build project environments
