Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) with 3+ years of practical experience. Should have worked in Agile teams.
Familiar with SDLC and STLC best practices, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Skilled in using defect tracking systems (e.g., Mantis, JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).
Experience performing end-to-end testing across insurance processes, hands-on experience in manual configuration-based COTS Insurance software testing and data migration testing, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

Job Responsibilities
Perform manual configuration-based COTS Insurance software testing to validate transactions and policy/billing workflows.
Conduct data migration testing to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of migrated data.
Execute end-to-end P and C insurance lifecycle testing (new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, claims, billing).
Review requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data to ensure complete coverage.
Validate backend processes using SQL queries for data consistency and impact analysis.
Test web applications and web services (REST/SOAP APIs) for functionality and integration accuracy.
Verify integrations with real-time rating engines (e.g., PL Rating, EZ Lynx, AMS360, Applied Rater).
Identify, log, and track defects in JIRA / HP ALM / Mantis, and support issue resolution via defect triage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, Product Owners) to clarify requirements and report test outcomes.
Participate in test planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Reviewing and analyzing business and software requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases covering the full insurance lifecycle.
Executing manual and functional tests, including regression, integration, end-to-end, data migration, and usability testing across insurance applications.
Validating data migration processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity between legacy and target systems.
Using SQL to analyze test results, validate database impacts, identify defects, and perform data manipulation for test execution.
Preparing detailed test reports, including defect logs, metrics, and impact analysis, and sharing results with stakeholders and design teams.
