Role profile:
As a highly skilled - QA Automation Engineer in Benchmark & Index Management the individual will be responsible for the Automation of Quality Assurance (QA) through a variety of test strategies for business-critical applications, developing high-quality test software. The candidate will have experience in automated testing solutions for business problems that involve complex User Interfaces, data intensive operations and process hand-offs, and will be required to provide technical expertise, ownership and responsibility in the end-to-end software delivery cycle.
ROLE SUMMARY:

• We are looking for Senior QA Engineer having 6 to 9 years of full-time industry experience to join our Bangalore team, who can develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, JavaScript, Selenium, and TestNG.
• This role demands to collaborate within agile teams to deliver high quality software.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Writing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI and API validation.
• Designing and executing manual sanity and exploratory test cases.
• Working with cross functional teams in agile ceremonies.
• Creating detailed bug reports and validating fixes.
• Enhancing automation frameworks for better scalability and maintainability.
• Validating builds and deployments using CI tools.
• Architecting, maintaining, and optimizing a Node.js-based test automation framework.
• Contributing to quality strategy and best practices documentations.
• Contributes and leads testing through high-quality functional and automation test scenarios
• Identifies, prioritizes, and performs tasks in the software development lifecycle
• Develop tools and applications required for automation by producing clean, efficient and scalable code utilizing java-based test frameworks
• Perform database and process performance testing using a combination of benchmarking frameworks.
• Ensures high quality, reliable products through the implementation of automated regression test frameworks.
• Drive a culture of engineering excellence through mentorship, peer reviews, and promoting standard methodologies in software automation testing.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, Selenium and TestNG.
• Solid understanding in QA methodologies and agile frameworks.
• Experience in writing test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.
• Ability to perform manual testing for sanity and UI verifications.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Exposure to AWS is a plus (S3 and Lambda).
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with multi-functional teams.
• Proficiency in QA and Test Automation suites.
• Experience in architecting, maintaining, and optimizing a Node.js-based test automation framework.
• Significant experience of MS-SQL or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency C# .NET or Java experience is useful.
• Familiarity with performance, security and other non-functional testing approaches (e.g. JMeter, Apache Benchmark, k6, SQL Profiler etc)
• Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mentality
• Experience with Financial Markets in Equities and / or Fixed Income is a plus.
