Job Title: Senior Data Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst with a strong background in SQL and experience working with Snowflake. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our data assets through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Quality Assessment:

- Conduct thorough data quality assessments to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies in large datasets.

- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate data integrity across various sources.

2. SQL Proficiency:

- Utilize advanced SQL queries to analyze and validate data in databases, ensuring adherence to data quality standards.

- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.

3. Snowflake Platform:

- Leverage expertise in Snowflake to perform data quality checks, monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot issues related to data loading and transformation processes.

- Work closely with the Snowflake platform to design and implement data validation procedures.

4. Test Automation:

- Develop and implement automated testing scripts for data validation, ensuring continuous monitoring of data quality metrics.

- Identify opportunities for automation to streamline the data quality assurance process.

5. Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand data requirements and business rules.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to report data quality findings and suggest improvements.

6. Documentation:

- Maintain detailed documentation of data quality processes, test cases, and validation results.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of data quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).

2. Proven experience as a Data QA Analyst or similar role, with a focus on data quality assurance.

3. Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries for data validation.

4. Hands-on experience working with Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, and validation.

5. Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

9. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.

10. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
