Senior QA Engineer (Automation) Location: Pune, India
PierianDx, a leader in the clinical genomics space, is currently seeking talented and motivated test automation engineers. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle of Product development. You will establish testing best practices, develop QA/QC processes, manage bug resolution lifecycle in JIRA, and create automated test frameworks for enterprise products used by medical professionals to interpret and report clinical genomics data. Your contributions will enable clinical laboratories and physicians to deliver patient-specific diagnosis and treatments based on an individual’s DNA.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand and follow QA processes defined at organization level to meet quality goals set at product level
• Attend product and process trainings required to create quality deliverables at each phase of product life-cycle
• Work with product teams to understand requirements / user needs ask relevant questions to get clarity and write test cases with good test coverage
• Create software verification plan and test strategy for each release, test cycles in JIRA and tasks assignments to the QA team
• Take complete ownership of testing a product release/version with support from QA team members and provide QA signoff for a release.
• Review test protocols and requirement traceability for completeness and correctness
• Develop and execute test protocols and test scripts, capture evidences
• Measure the quality of deliverables using metrices (e.g. defect leakage)
• Improve productivity by reducing turn-around-time for QA activities using automation wherever possible
• Provide regular status updates and highlight project risks and possible mitigations to functional leads
• Participate in daily scrum to provide plan for upcoming tasks and ask for help for any roadblocks
• Work with Development team to follow through on issues to ensure that bugs get fixed
• Work as part of team to achieve sprint and release goals
• Share knowledge with fellow teammates to improve their knowledge or skills

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in developing QA automation framework and automating test cases using selenium web driver with JAVA is a must have (Data driven framework, Karate.
  
• Troubleshooting / debugging skills to investigate test execution failures and fix the automation code or report a product issue with required details.
• Defect management using tools like JIRA
• API testing and Data Migration testing experience
• Good understanding of QMS, V&V processes, Manual & Automation Testing Concepts, Jenkins & Git, Database Queries - SQL & NoSQL DBs, Linux, UI & API testing.
• Good understanding of white and black box testing, acceptance testing, unit tests, and regression testing
• Enjoys writing and executing detailed and comprehensive SOPs
• Exposure to global teams and understanding of global work culture.
• Total years of experience: 6 to 9 years

Education Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from a reputed college.
Good to have

• Prior Experience with Healthcare and Genomics domain
• Knowledge of ISO 13485/IEC 63204 requirements
• Experience in performing risk management
• Educational background in Bioinformatics or data science
• Knowledge of Robot framework and python scripting
• Experience with SaaS products and large customer bases
