: Senior QA Automation Engineer - Digital Credit Applications
Key Responsibilities:
A. Automation & DevSecOps Engineering
Test Strategy & Framework Architecture: Design, implement, and govern the automated testing framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) for functional, API, and UI testing, ensuring full compatibility with Azure services.
CI/CD Integration: Own the continuous testing phase within the Azure DevOps pipeline, configuring build and release gates for automated quality checks and maintaining high code coverage standards.
Non-Functional Testing: Architect and execute rigorous performance, load, stress, and scalability testing using tools like JMeter or Azure Load Testing to validate system stability under peak BFSI operational loads.
Security Validation: Integrate automated security testing tools (e.g., SAST/DAST) into the pipeline to identify vulnerabilities early, supporting a proactive DevSecOps model.
B. Comprehensive Quality Assurance & Strategy
Test Planning & Design: Develop detailed, risk-based test plans encompassing functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases for complex credit features.
Test Data Management (TDM): Define and implement a robust Test Data Management strategy, utilizing data masking, synthetic data generation, and secure data refresh processes to ensure realistic and compliant testing across all environments.
Environment Strategy: Lead the configuration and maintenance of QA and Staging environments within Azure, ensuring test environments accurately mirror production infrastructure and dependencies.
Exploratory Testing Leadership: Champion and lead structured exploratory testing sessions to uncover defects, usability issues, and risks that traditional automation might miss, especially related to the complex end-to-end credit workflows.
Reporting & Metrics: Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., defect leakage, automation coverage, Mean Time to Detect/Resolve) and provide clear, data-driven quality status reports to engineering and business leadership.
C. AI/ML Model and Digital Experience Validation
AI/ML Model Governance Testing: Develop specialised test cases to validate the fairness, explainability (XAI), output consistency, and drift of integrated AI/ML models (e.g., credit scoring, fraud detection) used in the credit decisioning flow.
Digital Experience (DX) Assurance: Focus on mobile-first and web application testing, ensuring seamless, high-quality, and accessible digital user journeys for all credit applicants and internal operators.
Data Integrity: Design complex SQL and NoSQL queries to validate end-to-end data flow, transformation, and storage integrity across distributed systems, including Azure Data Lake.
D. Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Technical Mentorship: Lead on automation best practices, Azure Test Plans, and modern testing methodologies.
Defect Management: Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution of complex technical defects, collaborating closely with development and architecture teams.
Required Technical Skills & Experience:
8+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 4 years focused on hands-on test automation architecture in the BFSI sector.
Azure DevOps Expertise (Mandatory): Deep, practical experience with Azure DevOps for test case management, CI/CD pipeline setup, and release management.
Automation Proficiency: Expert-level scripting/coding in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Python, C#, Java) for robust automation framework development.
AI/ML QA Experience: Demonstrated experience testing and validating systems that incorporate machine learning models.
Financial Services/Credit: Strong technical understanding of credit lifecycle processes, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Basel III).
Digital Platforms: Experience ensuring quality on high-traffic, customer-facing digital platforms.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer, or equivalent cloud/DevOps certification.
