Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role located in Bengaluru for a PLC Programmer. The PLC Programmer will be responsible for developing, programming, Data Traceability and maintaining

Python Language Programming,

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated industrial machinery

, including troubleshooting, and debugging PLC programs.& we prefer who will be having knowledge on

LabVIEW

program as well.

Qualifications

Diploma Or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in

Python Programming

,

Programmable Logic Controller Programming for Automated Industrial Machinery.

RS232 and RS485 TO MODBUS TCP Communication.

Develop and maintain

RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI/Tornado)

Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions Integrate with RDBMS/cloud databases

(Postgres, Clickhouse, MS SQL, Snowflake)

Data Science & Machine Learning (Good-to-have):

Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts and tools, particularly Python libraries like

NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, is an advantage, especially for specialized roles in these areas

Implement secure authentication and token-based access Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile setups Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems Use DevOps tools for

version control, CI/CD, and package management

Handle middleware,

caching (Redis), and messaging systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ)

Proficiency in PLC Software and Familiarity with

HMI, SCADA, and other automation software.

Skilled in PLC programming languages such as

Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram and Sequential Function Chart.

Expert in Debugging and Troubleshooting, including knowledge of

Electrical Circuits and components.

Knowledge of

PLC Hardware, Networks, and protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFIBUS

Experience with

Siemens, Delta, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, and Mitsubishi PLCs is preferred.

Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Experience in

motor drive communication, Servo motor programming & pick place gantry

etc. Experience on

pneumatic cylinder & hydraulics cylinders logic, sensors, camera, scanner

etc. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Software Development:

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using Python. This includes both backend components and integrating user-facing elements. They build applications and features following best practices and coding standards.

Debugging and Testing:

Debug, test, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the smooth functioning of software applications and maintain code quality. They also participate in code reviews.

Data Handling:

Work with databases (like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB) and implement data storage solutions. They may also be involved in creating large-scale data processing pipelines.

Automation:

Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and streamline workflows.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including project managers, designers, other developers, and stakeholders) to understand project requirements, define project goals, and deliver high-quality solutions. Learning and Adaptability: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Python development, demonstrating continuous learning and a positive mindset. Security: Implement security and data protection measures, such as authentication and authorization.

Key skills and qualifications

Proficiency in Python:

A strong understanding of Python fundamentals, including syntax, data structures, object-oriented programming concepts (OOP), file handling, and exception handling.

Web Frameworks:

Experience with popular Python web frameworks like Django and Flask is highly valued, especially for web development roles.

Database Management:

Proficiency in database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB is essential for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases.

Version Control:

Familiarity with version control systems like Git is crucial for collaborating on projects and managing code changes effectively.

Debugging and Testing Tools:

Understanding of debugging tools and techniques to identify and fix bugs quickly, along with the ability to write unit and integration tests.

Frontend Technologies:

Knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is often required, particularly for full-stack developer roles. Familiarity with libraries or frameworks like React or Angular can be an advantage.
