Job Description

The Senior Purchase Manager will be responsible for leading the procurement function for construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, machinery, and services. The role requires strong negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing skills to optimize costs while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for construction materials, plant & machinery, and services.

Ensure timely procurement of cement, steel, aggregates, electrical, plumbing, finishing, and other construction-related items.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements.

Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely deliveries, and cost optimization.

Continuously evaluate supplier performance and explore alternate sourcing options.

Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and risks to ensure competitive procurement.

Collaborate with finance and project teams for budget control and payment processing.

Lead, guide, and mentor the purchase team, ensuring smooth procurement operations.

Implement cost-control measures, vendor audits, and transparent purchase processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain / Commerce (MBA preferred).

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior role in the construction/real estate/infrastructure industry.

Proven track record of large-scale material sourcing and vendor development.

Knowledge of government regulations, tax structures, and contract management in construction.

Pay: ?100,000.00 - ?150,000.00 per month
