Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Purchase Head to lead its procurement and sourcing operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely availability of materials, cost control, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate must possess deep domain knowledge of steel fabrication materials, especially Hot Rolled (HR) and Cold Rolled (CR) sheets, and bring strong leadership, negotiation, and vendor management skills to the table.

Key Responsibilities:

o Design and implement effective procurement strategies to support project and production requirements. o Handle end-to-end procurement of steel materials (HR/CR sheets, structural steel, etc.) with accuracy and efficiency. o Evaluate and develop a reliable vendor base; conduct comparative analysis of supplier quotations. o Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure cost optimization and quality. o Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and project teams to plan material procurement schedules. o Issue and monitor Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely delivery and inventory control. o Track market trends related to steel pricing and availability to make informed procurement decisions. o Ensure proper inspection and quality checks for incoming steel and other materials. o Lead and mentor the procurement team to ensure departmental goals are achieved. o Drive initiatives for cost reduction, improved vendor performance, and supply chain efficiency.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, or related fieldo MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain / Materials Management preferred

Experience & Skills:

o 2 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or fabrication industry o Mandatory knowledge of steel fabrication materials, including HR & CR sheets, sections, and fabrication consumables o Strong vendor network in the steel and raw material supply segment o Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems o Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills o Fluent in Hindi; English proficiency preferred o Strong commercial acumen and decision-making ability under pressure
