Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior Project Engineer (Civil)

with

30-35 years of hands-on experience

in managing large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction projects. The role demands strong leadership on site, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to independently handle end-to-end project execution while maintaining quality, timelines, and cost control.

The candidate must be

willing to relocate to Siliguri

and play a key role in mentoring teams, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring best construction practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead

overall project execution

from excavation to handover, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and timelines. Manage

site operations

, contractors, subcontractors, and skilled/unskilled manpower efficiently. Interpret and implement

structural, architectural, and MEP drawings

with precision. Ensure

quality control

, site safety, and compliance with relevant

IS codes, local building bylaws, and statutory norms

. Coordinate with

architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and PMC

for smooth execution. Monitor

project schedules

, material planning, procurement, and inventory control. Review and approve

BOQs, BBS, RA bills, final bills

, and vendor measurements. Resolve

site-level technical issues

proactively and provide cost-effective construction solutions. Supervise

testing, inspections, and documentation

to ensure construction standards. Guide, train, and mentor

junior engineers and site supervisors

. Support management with

technical inputs, progress reports, and risk assessments

. Coordinate for

handover, snag rectification, and completion certifications

.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong command over

RCC, structural works, finishing, waterproofing, and services coordination

. Excellent

site leadership and people-management skills

. Sound understanding of

modern construction techniques and materials

. Ability to take

independent decisions

on site. Proficiency in reading drawings and basic knowledge of

AutoCAD / MS Excel / MS Project

. High sense of

responsibility, discipline, and ownership

.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

(mandatory). Certification in safety or project management will be an added advantage.

Experience Profile

30-35 years of proven experience

in civil construction projects. Prior experience in

multi-storey residential, commercial buildings, or township projects

preferred. Experience in

North Bengal / Eastern India

will be an advantage.

Must be

physically fit and site-active

. Willingness to

relocate to Siliguri

and work in a dynamic construction environment. Long-term association mindset preferred.
