Summary





JOB DESCRIPTION - Sr Project Engineer-Construction Management




A Sr Project Engineer in construction supports the APM/Project Manager by coordinating tasks, managing documentation (RFIs, submittals, drawings), tracking costs/budgets, ensuring quality/safety compliance, facilitating communication with stakeholders (clients, subs, team), and handling administrative duties to keep projects on schedule and within budget from Pre-Construction to Close-out, focusing on smooth execution and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities



Planning & Coordination:

Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets; coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and team members.

Documentation:

Manage and distribute project documents (RFIs, submittals, drawings, meeting minutes, as-builts).

Financials:

Help track costs, manage budgets, process payments, and handle change orders.

Site Oversight:

Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and enforce safety compliance.

Communication:

Act as a liaison between the PM, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors; facilitate meetings.

Problem-Solving:

Identify issues, troubleshooting, and resolve project-related challenges.

Reporting:

Prepare progress reports for management and clients.

Essential Skills & Qualifications



Education:

Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

Relevant construction/project management experience 8-10 years

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with construction software, MS Office, MS-Projects, Primavera and ACAD.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.
