Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Programming & Scheduling Expert to lead the planning, programming, and scheduling of major bridge projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil works, construction planning, and project management, with a proven ability to prepare and manage complex work schedules. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and expertise in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed work programs and schedules for major bridge projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Utilize advanced scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) to optimize resource allocation and project execution. Monitor and update project schedules regularly to reflect progress and address delays or changes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate construction planning and scheduling into overall project management. Ensure seamless coordination between design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Identify critical paths, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely project delivery. Oversee the supervision and execution of major bridge projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards. Conduct regular reviews of project progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays. Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule disruptions. Analyze schedule impacts of claims, variations, and unforeseen circumstances. Liaise with clients, contractors, and government authorities to ensure alignment with project schedules and requirements. Prepare and present detailed reports on project schedules, progress, and performance metrics to stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of project schedules, updates, and correspondence. Prepare periodic reports and dashboards to track schedule performance and highlight key issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Post-Graduation in Construction Management or a Certificate Course in Construction Management/Contract Management or equivalent from a recognized institution. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil works, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. At least 7 years of experience as a Construction Planning Expert or Project Manager in the supervision/execution of major bridge projects.

Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera, MS Project, or equivalent software. Experience working on projects funded by multilateral or bilateral agencies. Knowledge of international standards and best practices in construction scheduling. Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an added advantage.
