This Software/Technology Senior Program Manager position, focused on Wi-fi & Bluetooth Technologies is responsible for program management support and leadership for managing the planning, development and delivery of software that span across multiple technology areas and product segments for Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile and Compute divisions

• Excellent opportunity to work on the latest cutting edge software, hardware technologies for Wi-fi and Bluetooth
• Collaborate with other impacting technology areas such BSP, Modem, HLOS (Android, Chrome OS etc.) & Multimedia and other BUs
• Drive requirements scoping, analysis and planning including interdependencies, staffing constraints and schedule optimization across multiple tech teams and customer connect
• Establish clear Plan of Record commitment and drive prioritization
• Strong technical understanding of SW deliverables and risk management/risk mitigation
• Establish rigorous execution discipline & communications process: risk management, mitigation, tracking, schedule trends vs baseline, recovery actions, executive reporting & stakeholder communications
• Develop program indicators to manage program health including quality and timelines
• Partner with other functional areas to establish critical processes to support disciplined product development and decision making and to ensure quality. Coordination across multiple development sites may be required
• Develop and establish strong processes that streamline the development cycle and help integrate multiple plans, dependencies and deliverables effectively
• Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions). Making decisions that are moderate in impact, may require strong negotiation and influence
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, communication to large groups or high-level constituents
• Completing tasks that do not have defined steps; simultaneous use of multiple mental abilities is generally required to determine the best approach; mistakes may result in significant rework.
• Working independently with little supervision.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience and domain knowledge of Wireless/Semiconductors is a must
• 14-16 years (max) of experience in a combination of Software product development and program management in semiconductor/wireless industry
• Experience with end to end product integration and managing software products through entire development life cycle
• Knowledge of program management methodology (e.g., planning, scheduling, tracking, execution). This includes

• The ability to effectively use program management tools to carry out the program management function
• The ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful. This includes the ability to leverage multiple resources to get things done and lay out tasks in sufficient detail. This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles
• The ability to make quick, accurate decisions. This includes the ability to weigh alternatives and consider the impact of the decisions on people, equipment, or other resources.
• The ability to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery (e.g., email, phone, face-to-face). This includes using a technically sound communication style both verbally and in writing
• The ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships, and rapport with different types of people and businesses. This includes delivering on commitments and maintaining confidential information, as well as being approachable, showing interest in the other person, and relating well to people regardless of personality or background

Educational Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor\'s in Computer Engineering/ Electrical Engineering
• Preferred:

• Master\'s in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Business Administration
• 4+ years Program Management experience or related work experienc

Minimum Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
• 3+ years of working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.

Additional Requirements:

• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI)
• Skills:

• Agile Scrum Project Management, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Prepare Budgets, Prepare Presentations
• Experience of working in a large matrixed organization in role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
• Work experience in operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials
• Professional experience in the semiconductor industry a strong plus and experience/knowledge of wireless communications systems including WIFI, Mobile, Bluetooth also high valued
