The Department of Health, Govt of Bihar, the State Health Society, Bihar along with several development partners has been focusing on inservice and pre-service capacity building of Nurses. The Department of Health, through its Mission Unnayan is pledged to create an ecosystem for nurses from Bihar to find employment across public service institutions, private sector hospitals and be competitive in the international job market, as well as to build the overall competency and quality service delivery by in-service nurses working within the Health System. Jhpiego is supporting the Department of Health through several reforms within the Mission Unnayan Framework. The State Health Society Bihar is also a key stakeholder in ensuring the continuous capacity building of in-service nurses and has a vision to create sustainable systems to ensure quality health service delivery reaching the community. Therefore, it is imperative that the Jhpiego team work closely with key stakeholders of nursing education and service delivery within the State Health Society. In this context Jhpiego is seeking a State Program Manager to work closely with the Nursing and other allied teams of State Health Society Bihar to strengthen several aspects of the HRH strengthening pertaining to nurses.
