The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief:
The Grant supports the advancement of the technical mandate of the organization. This includes work that is being undertaken by the different divisions within the organization (technical & operations). The work will also include developing collaborations and engaging with a variety of stakeholders within and beyond the Organization. This will also be a role in supporting select external facing activities of the Organization.
The primary role of the grant will be to strengthen the internal capacity within PHFI and make it future ready. The grant money will be spent to advance institutional mandate and undertaking the programmatic work. The overall metrics of the grant will assess the process and outcome indicators in the short-and medium-term.
We visualize this institutional strengthening grant will support four broad areas over the grant duration. These four areas align with the institutional priorities identified by PHFI as a part of its vision. * Re-building faculty and technical staff strength and facilitating professional development

• Enhancing research and teaching administration and implementation:
• Strengthening and expanding collaborations
• Leveraging other research and capacity building investments to strengthen PHFI/IIPH capacity

Job Summary:
The Senior Program Manager will ensure supporting multiple development projects by providing expert guidance, managing key processes, and assisting in coordination and implementation within a managerial capacity.
Deliverables:
The major duties and responsibilities will include:

• Support for coordination related to the publication of books and monographs
• Coordination of activities related to capacity building
• Engagement with stakeholders on technical matters
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Qualification:
Essential:

• Master Level Qualifications in public health or related fields.

Experience:
Essential:

• Around 12+ years of work experience required.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication skills (Written and Verbal)
• Liaisoning with stakeholders in academic, training and research settings.
• Coordination with stakeholders.
