About your role: WRI India is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual, interested in start-ups and MSMEs that are solving problems of urbanization and climate change. The \'Senior Associate\' will work with the Urban Innovation/ Urban Development team within the Cities Program, in India. With his/her knowledge, the senior associate will assist the team in their on-going engagement with entrepreneurs, governments, and investors. The senior associate will support work in the domain of urban development andproduce data analytics that will be used to create knowledge products and inform our engagements with various innovation ecosystem stakeholders. The associate will support the vision of WRI India to catalyse urban innovation in building sustainable and equitable cities by - taking up research on the potential and applicability of cutting-edgeideas help develop platform and tools for entrepreneurs to engage with government agencies and regulators anddemystify climate tech/urban services businesses to investors and scale enterprises by helping run challenges and accelerator programs. How your day will unfold: . Undertake research to understand the climate tech/gov tech/urban infrastructure and basic services ecosystem and emerging business models in Indian cities and other active global centres . Analyzing industry trends and business models, developing impact metrics and working with data (esp. open data) . Help team in running accelerators and developing a support program for entrepreneurs . Support team in coordination activities for the India Forum for Nature -based Solutions . Engage in communication and outreach activities- scouting and interacting with companies, experts, investors and other relevant stakeholders, through strong interpersonal skills . Strong analytical writing skills to support the team in ongoing projects, research, content generation, reports, proposals, etc. . Manage website updates and communication for the India Forum for Nature-based Solutions . Develop written and visual content for project communication including social media, press releases and articles Qualifications and requirements we seek: . Master\'s Degree in technology, economics, urban studies/development or statistics background in public policy preferred . 4-7 years of professional work experience in one of the following areas: . Analysing industry trends and emerging business models . Experience in impact investing domain . Experience in technology consulting with an ability to work with data . Interest in urbanization/climate tech-led business opportunities . Ability to carry research independently as well as, part of the team . Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner . Ability to think creatively to help drive the strategy forward . Ability to take initiative, prioritize and execute in the face of competing demands and uncertainties . Proficiency in MS Office, statistics ability to handle administrative tasks Salary and Benefits : INR 11,00,000 to INR 13,00,000 CTC Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills.
